History
  • 1858:

    Founded Kadoya Mills in Shodoshima-Island, Kagawa Prefecture in 1858, and started sesame oil manufacturing and sales.

  • 1957 May:

    Kadoya Sesame Mills Incorporated was established by a joint capital investment between Kadoya Mills and Ozawa Shoten inc( a subsidiary of eastern Japan; currently Ozawa & Company Limited ) due to expand their business. The head office has been located at 357, 1Chome, Nishiosaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

  • 1961 Sep:

    Opened the Osaka branch office as a sales base.

  • 1961 Oct:

    In preparation for further business expansion, a new factory was constructed on a site measuring 39,600 m2, at Tonosho Port in Shodoshima-Island.

  • 1967 Feb:

    Opened the Fukuoka branch office.

  • 1969 Apr:

    Opened the Sapporo, Sendai, and Nagoya branch offices.

  • 1973 Oct:

    Opened the Hiroshima branch office.

  • 1974 Aug:

    Opened the Matsumoto, Kanazawa, and Takamatsu branch offices.

  • 1976 Jan:

    Closed the Kanazawa branch office.

  • 1976 Apr:

    Changed the company name to
    Kadoya Sesame Mills Incorporated.

  • 1977 Apr:

    Opened the Sagamihara sales office.

  • 1978 Mar:

    Changed the Sapporo, Hiroshima, Matsumoto, and Takamatsu branch offices to sales offices.

  • 1978 Aug :

    Opened the Kumagaya sales offices.

  • 1979 Apr:

    Changed the Fukuoka branch office to a sales office.

  • 1980 May:

    Relocated the Kumagaya sales office to Omiya city and changed the name to the Omiya sales office.

  • 1981 Mar:

    Closed the Sagamihara sales office.

  • 1991 Aug:

    Relocated the head office to 8-2-8, Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

  • 1993 Nov:

    Registered to OTC stock under the Japan Securities Dealers Association.

  • 1995 May:

    The Tokyo sales department of the head office became independent as the Tokyo branch office.

  • 2000 Aug:

    Changed trading lot of shares
    from 1,000 to 100.

  • 2000 Aug:

    Obtained ISO 9002 certification. (Changed to ISO 9001 in August 2003.)

  • 2004 Dec:

    Cancelled OTC stock registration of Japan Securities Dealers Association.
    Listed stocks on the Jasdaq Securities Exchange, Inc.

  • 2005 Oct:

    Merged the Omiya sales office to the Tokyo branch office.
    Relocated the Matsumoto sales office to Nagano city and changed the name into the Nagano sales office.

  • 2006 Oct:

    Established a business establishment (Logistic warehouse) in Kobe.

  • 2009 Sep:

    Merged the Nagano sales office into the Tokyo branch office, and the Takamatsu sales office into the Hiroshima Branch office.

  • 2010:

    After the merger of the Osaka Securities Exchange and the JASDAQ securities Exchange, the market listing changed to the OSE JASDAQ →JASDAQ Standard Market.

  • 2012 Mar:

    Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

  • 2012 Apr:

    Acquired Kosher Certification.

  • 2012 Jun:

    Delisted from the OSE JASDAQ Exchange.

  • 2013:

    Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

  • 2015 Apr:

    The Hiroshima and Fukuoka sales offices promoted to branch offices.

  • 2015 Aug:

    Returned ISO9001 Certification.

  • 2015 Aug:

    Acquired Certification of FSSC22000 at the Shodoshima factory.

  • 2016:

    Acquired Halal Certification.

  • 2017 Mar:

    Closed the Kobe business office.

  • 2017 Nov:

    Acquired Katagi Food Inc and
    turned it into a subsidiary.

  • 2018 Feb:

    Made a successful land bit (83823㎡) for a new factory in Sodegaura city, Chiba prefecture.

  • 2020 Feb:

    Completed the Sodegaura factory.
