Recipe
Broccoli and thick fried tofu with egg mayonnaise

Ingredients (2 servings)
| Thick deep-fried tofu | 1 (100g) |
|---|---|
| Broccoli (can be frozen broccoli) | 80g |
| Kadoya roasted sesame oil | 1 teaspoon |
| [A] Soy sauce | 1/2 tablespoon |
| [A] Kadoya roasted sesame oil | 1/2 teaspoon |
| [A] Salt | 2 pinches |
| Egg | 1 |
| Mayonnaise | A dash |
| Black pepper | A pinch |
Directions (5 min)
-
Wrap deep-fried tofu in paper towels to remove water and oil and cut into 12 equal pieces.
-
Cut broccoli into small bunches. (If using frozen broccoli, defrost in microwave and drain.)
-
Put (1) deep-fried tofu and (2) broccoli in a heat-proof bowl and pour sesame oil over them. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave (600W) for 3 minutes.
-
Drain off the water from (3), place on a baking dish with the center left open, and sprinkle with [A]. Drop an egg into the center and stick a toothpick into the yolk in 4 or 5 places. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave (600W) for 1 minute. Heat in additional 20-second increments, keeping an eye on it, until the desired level of semi-crookedness is obtained.
-
Put mayonnaise on and sprinkle black pepper.
