Beef fillet, about 3 cm thick

Directions

Sear the beef in a hot pan for about 1 minute per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In a container large enough to hold the meat, mix the salty soy sauce, Kadoya roasted sesame oil, and grated ginger.

Add the beef, coat well with the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once halfway through.

Remove the beef from the marinade.

Transfer the marinade to a pan, add the sweet soy sauce, and simmer over medium heat for about 3 minutes until slightly reduced.

Slice the beef thinly. If desired, warm it briefly in a hot but turned-off oven.

Arrange the beef slices on a serving plate or individual plates, sprinkle with spring onion and black sesame seeds, and drizzle with the sauce.

Serve immediately.
