Edamame Stir-Fried with Garlic & Chili

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

Edamame (in pods)

Salt

Garlic, minced
1 clove

Dried red chili pepper, seeded
1/2 piece

Kadoya Roasted Sesame Oil
1 tbsp

Water
1 tbsp

Chicken stock powder
1/2 tsp

Coarsely ground black pepper
To taste

Trim both ends of the edamame pods with kitchen scissors. Rub thoroughly with the salt. Mince the garlic and remove the seeds from the chili pepper.

Heat Kadoya Roasted Sesame Oil in a frying pan. Add the garlic and chili pepper and cook until fragrant. Add the edamame and stir-fry until evenly coated with the oil.

Add the water and chicken stock powder. Cover the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat until the edamame is tender.

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt if needed. Finish with a generous sprinkle of coarsely ground black pepper and serve immediately.
