Edamame Stir-Fried with Garlic & Chili

Ingredients (for 4 servings)
  • Edamame (in pods)

    150 g

  • Salt

    1/2 tsp

  • Garlic, minced

    1 clove

  • Dried red chili pepper, seeded

    1/2 piece

  • Kadoya Roasted Sesame Oil

    1 tbsp

  • Water

    1 tbsp

  • Chicken stock powder

    1/2 tsp

  • Coarsely ground black pepper

    To taste

Directions
  • Trim both ends of the edamame pods with kitchen scissors. Rub thoroughly with the salt. Mince the garlic and remove the seeds from the chili pepper.

  • Heat Kadoya Roasted Sesame Oil in a frying pan. Add the garlic and chili pepper and cook until fragrant. Add the edamame and stir-fry until evenly coated with the oil.

  • Add the water and chicken stock powder. Cover the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat until the edamame is tender.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt if needed. Finish with a generous sprinkle of coarsely ground black pepper and serve immediately.
